The vice-president of the German Bundestag,Katrin Dagmar Göring-Eckardt, condemned the transfer of the First Deputy Speaker of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Nariman Dzhelial, and the Akhtemov brothers, calling it a “brutal violation of international law.”
We remind that on October 2, Dzhelial and the Akhtemov brothers were illegally taken from SIZO-2 in Simferopol and staged to prisons on the territory of Russia. Nariman Dzhelal was previously sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment in a high-security prison on charges of a falsified case of “sabotage” of a gas pipeline in the Perevalny village. Nariman was detained after participating in the Inaugural Summit of the Crimean Platform, immediately after returning to Crimea.
Asan Akhmetov was sentenced to 15 years in a penal colony. Aziz – 13 years in a strict regime colony, both brothers were also fined 500,000 rubles each.
