Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine has destroyed the security system in the Black Sea and Azov region. In order to find effective tools to respond to these challenges and provide opportunities for sustainable development for all peaceful countries in the region, Ukraine has initiated the First Black Sea Security Conference, which will be held jointly with Romania on April 12-13 in Bucharest.
The event will be held within the framework of the International Crimean Platform, a mechanism aimed at de-occupying Crimea and restoring Black Sea, European and global security.
Conference organizers: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Ministry of National Defense of Romania, in partnership with the Center for Defense Strategies (Ukraine).
The event will be attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Ministers of Defense, heads of international institutions, government officials and independent experts representing the members of the International Crimean Platform. They will analyze the multidimensional impact of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine on the security situation in the Black Sea-Azov region and the world, discuss possible strategies for responding to challenges and threats, as well as the basis for the future configuration of the security system in the region.
The conference will also focus on information warfare and cyberattacks.
