Dialogue with the Secretary General and the Deputy Secretary General

The decision is the first formalized reaction of the Council of Europe to the revolutionary events in Ukraine and testified to the CoE’s support for the democratic aspirations of the Ukrainian people.

Its important components are the calls on the Government to refrain from violence, to engage in a broad political dialogue, and to ensure an effective investigation into the violent incidents that have taken place since November 2013.
