Nariman Dzhylal: «The importance of the Crimea Platform is obvious because it accumulates international support for Ukraine’s sovereignty»

Nariman Dzhylal, recently released from Russian captivity, told about his illegal detention in an interview with the Mexican newspaper El Heraldo de México. The material was published with the assistance of Resilient Ukraine as part of the Ucrania Resiliente project.

«The official reason for my arrest was a case of sabotage and explosion of a gas pipeline in one of the regions of Crimea, for which I was prosecuted, but the real reason was my public activities as a journalist since 2014 in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as my participation in the Inaugural Summit of the Crimea Platform held in August 2021. Nine days after returning from it, I was arrested.»
