Another crime of the terrorist state against the residents of the occupied Crimea

The occupiers illegally transferred political prisoners Medzhit Abdurakhmanov and Farhod Bazarov to a prison in the Saratov region. At the same time, the Moscow Court of Cassation left 66-year-old Zekiry Muratov, who has a 3rd group disability and chronic diseases, in the place of illegal detention.

As a reminder, on March 10, 2023, the Southern District Military Court sentenced Farhod Bazarov, a father of four and activist of the Crimean Solidarity, to 15 years in prison, with the first 4 years and 10 months in prison, with a one-year restriction of liberty. On May 12, 2023, the same court sentenced activist Medzhit Abdurakhmanov to 12 years in prison.

On July 7, 2020, seven people were detained during mass illegal searches in occupied Crimea. The occupation court of Simferopol imposed a pre-trial restraint on six of the detainees in the form of detention. One of the detainees is Zekiria Muratov.

Zekirya Muratov is an elderly Crimean Tatar with a group 3 disability, he has a number of diseases – high blood pressure, heart failure, heart disease, numbness in the left leg, frequent falls, muscle atrophy, and weight loss in the left leg. The man has one kidney that is prolapsed, causing him to experience constant bouts of severe pain. Muratov has undergone several surgeries: inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, gallbladder removal, cholelithiasis, and chronic hypertension. Being an illegal detainee is not only a threat to his health, but also to his life.
