“Standing with Ukraine means standing with the right side, standing with justice”, Denis Bećirović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Denis Bećirović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina noted the importance of supporting the right side in this cruel war amidst Europe. The politician emphasized the long-standing backing of Ukraine by Bosnia and Herzegovina, recalling several times when the state has supported corresponding EU statements and initiatives. 

“We strongly condemn Russian occupation as an act of violation of international law. Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the majority of the UN members supported the Resolution adopted on the anniversary of the Russian aggression against Ukraine”, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina noted.

He has also recalled the tragic history of his state and assured that this experience helped his fellow citizens to understand Ukrainians. The speaker is convinced that being close to Ukraine means supporting the just struggle for the restoration of its territorial integrity.
