The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro

The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro

“We continue to call for full accountability for war crimes and do not recognize any attempts to alter the status of Ukrainian territories, including Crimea. Respect for a country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is a core principle of the UN Charter,” said Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro.

Deputy Prime Minister Ervin Ibrahimović is convinced that the temporary occupation of the Crimean Peninsula is not only a regional issue but also a global one that requires a collective solution. Otherwise, the international political arena risks accepting a new global order based on Russian power.

“Montenegro will never recognize Russia’s illegal attempt to annex Crimea, which is now being used as a strategic bargaining chip to support Russia’s unjustified and brutal attacks,” said Deputy Prime Minister Ervin Ibrahimović.

He also noted that Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty are essential not only for the security of Ukraine and the Black Sea region but also for the stability of the global security architecture.
