The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Igor Grosu, the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova
The President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu, is convinced that Russia is waging a hybrid war against Moldovan citizens. He also emphasizes Moldova’s desire to be part of a free political community—the EU—where peace and respect for human rights and freedoms prevail.
“I am here before you to reaffirm support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, to reaffirm Moldova’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace in Ukraine. Although we have limited resources, we are doing everything we can, including within the framework of Ukraine’s Peace Formula, to facilitate grain export from Ukraine to global markets. We have sheltered hundreds of thousands of refugees. About 60,000 Ukrainians in the Republic of Moldova have received social assistance and temporary protection status,” said Igor Grosu, the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
He emphasized that the Republic of Moldova will join initiatives to return Ukrainian children illegally taken by Russians, create a register of damages, and bring to justice all those involved in the genocide in Ukraine. Recalling the sad news about Poltava and Lviv, Igor Grosu expressed his condolences to the families of those who died and his hope that all those responsible will be punished.
