The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece

“We sadly recall today that this horrendous aggression is not, in fact, the beginning of the tragedy for the Ukrainian people. The Russian aggression started well before February 24, 2022. It began back in the winter of 2014, with the illegal occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol”, — Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece.

The Prime Minister noted that Greece and the entire free world will never recognize a change in the international legal status of Crimea and all other occupied Ukrainian territories.

“Greece cannot but remain on the right side of history, as it has done from the very first moment of the invasion, steadfastly assisting Ukraine, together with its partners and allies, for as long as it takes”, — Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted.

He also expressed his support of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s peace formula and expressed the hope that more and more countries will join it.
