The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Francisco Leopoldo Soares, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Republic of Argentina

“Russia must immediately cease the use of force and military operations in Ukraine and completely withdraw its forces and equipment,” Francisco Leopoldo Soares, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Republic of Argentina, stated.

Francisco Leopoldo Soares stressed the need to respect international law, particularly international humanitarian law, the principles of the UN Charter, and state sovereignty and territorial integrity. Argentina supported all General Assembly resolutions on this issue.

“Argentina participated in the meetings of security advisers in Davos, Doha, and the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. The Argentine Republic is committed to peace, which is why it has joined two working groups of the Peace Formula: on radiation and nuclear safety and the territorial integrity of Ukraine. As a result of the working group meetings, we are working closely with Ukraine and Estonia to present an efficient document and to contribute to the creation of the next meeting so that more countries can join us in the future,”  Francisco Leopoldo Soares, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic, said.
