The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Marco Đurić, Minister of Foreign Affairs

“Drawing from our own difficult experiences, the Serbian people deeply empathize with the challenges our friendly Ukrainian nation is facing. The Republic of Serbia fully recognizes the urgent need to achieve peace swiftly and to end the armed conflict,” said Marco Đurić, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He emphasized that the Republic of Serbia supports Ukraine in its efforts to secure a just peace, including support for Ukraine’s energy sector.

He also mentioned that he had recently led the Serbian delegation to the First Peace Summit in Burgenstock, which demonstrated Serbia’s commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace through diplomatic and peaceful means.

“Our country and people have shown solidarity by providing direct financial, medical, and humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine, understanding the severe impact of energy shortages from our own experiences,” said Marco Đurić.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the Republic of Serbia is fully aware of the urgent need to achieve peace as soon as possible. He also reaffirmed Serbia’s unconditional respect for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
