The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of Portugal

President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa reminded that Portugal will never recognize the occupation of the Crimean peninsula,  Donetsk, Luhansk or any other city of Ukraine. In addition, he emphasized the courage and strength of the Ukrainian people in the fight against the aggressor.

“You are fighting for us all: in Europe, in Africa, in America, and in the Asia-Pacific region. That is why the borders of every country represented here start in Ukraine. The Portuguese borders start in Ukraine.” President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

The President of Portugal assured that Portugal will continue to support Ukraine both militarily and diplomatically, stressing that a just peace is possible only on Ukraine’s terms.
