The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Miloš Vystrčil, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Miloš Vystrčil, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

“We must support Ukraine as much as possible, to provide it with everything it needs,” Miloš Vystrčil, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

The Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic noted that today’s Summit began with the opening of the Memorial to the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people, which is a clue to how to deal with the present.

“We understand the situation in Ukraine; we know what occupation is,” said Miloš Vystříl, “The Czech Republic will never recognize the attempted annexation of Crimea or encroachment on the territory of Ukraine.”

The Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic expressed gratitude to all countries that supported the Czech Republic’s initiative on ammunition. Miloš Vystříl also recalled the First Crimean Platform Summit held in 2021. “We were hoping for de-occupation then, but there were changes – Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022”, said the Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic. He is convinced that support for Ukraine was insufficient at that time. “If the support for Ukraine is not enough, Russia will not stop,” Miloš Vystřil said.

The Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic emphasizes that supporting Ukraine is in the interests of all countries that prioritize independence and freedom, so everyone should participate in such events.
