The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Penny Wong, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Australia

“We seek a world where sovereignty is respected, where no country dominates, and no country is dominated”, — Penny Wong, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Australia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austrailia Penny Wong has condemned the ongoing crackdown on the indigenous and pro-Ukrainian population of Crimea, including widespread political, ethnic and cultural persecution, forced conscription into Russian occupation forces and media censorship.

“We are inspired by the resolve of the Ukrainian people in Crimea and across Ukraine, who have refused to let Russian aggression rob them of their history, culture, and freedom”, —  Penny Wong, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Australia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs reminded that Australia is the largest donor of aid to the Ukrainian people outside of NATO. She also noted that Australia will continue to support Ukraine as long as it is needed for the victory of Ukraine.
