The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of Sweden

The Fourth Crimea Platform Summit: Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of Sweden

“In the third year of Russia’s full-scale invasion, we also mark the tragic fact that ten years ago, Russia illegally occupied Crimea. Eighty years ago, Stalin ordered the forced deportation of Crimean Tatars. Today, Russia continues to inflict great suffering on the Crimean Peninsula”, Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of Sweden, stated.

The Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, is convinced that the attempted annexation of the Crimean Peninsula not only causes turbulence on the global political stage but also violates international criminal law.

“We must remain united and persistent in supporting the complete restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity in line with Ukraine’s Peace Formula. This is essential for a just and lasting peace under international law”, said Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

He also assured that support for Ukraine is Sweden’s top foreign policy priority and that the EU will remain with Ukraine for as long as necessary.
