Crimea Global 2024: Team

Last week, the Second International Conference Crimea Global. Understanding Ukraine through the South took place, bringing together over 100 participants despite challenging security conditions.

The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea/Office of the Crimea Platform extends its gratitude to everyone who attended the conference. This event would not have been possible without the efforts of part of the Mission’s team, the co-organizers—Media Initiative for Human Rights, ZMINA. Human Rights Center, PEN Ukraine, and the volunteers. Thank you for your diverse support, the organization of trips for international participants to various regions of Ukraine, and the execution of special events and discussion panels.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine/ MFA of Ukraine for its contribution to the organization and to the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the MFA for providing the venue and support for the conference.

The Crimea Global conference also featured side events organized by colleagues from the Center for Information Resilience, CrimeaSOS, the East European Development Institute, and the Center for Transatlantic Dialogue.

The deeply moving event, titled “Executed Culture,” was made possible through the efforts of the Maksym Kryvtsov Foundation, PEN Ukraine, and the Sense bookstore.

We extend our gratitude to Krental for providing technical and logistical support for the conference.

Thanks to a visit to the Musafir restaurant, participants had the opportunity to experience the culture, history, and unique cuisine of the Crimean Tatars. The outstanding professionalism and efficiency of photographers Artem Galkin and Anastasiia Mantach allowed attendees to receive stunning photos as lasting memories of this year’s conference.

We are also grateful to the Ukraїner team for providing informational materials that were used throughout the event.

A special thanks goes to the donors, partners, and everyone involved in organizing this large-scale event. Through collective efforts, something truly remarkable was achieved. Participants from various countries emphasized the significance and uniqueness of this conference, as well as its exceptional organization despite all security challenges and threats.

Your contribution is crucial to accelerating the liberation of Crimea, raising international awareness about Ukraine and the consequences of Russian aggression, and advancing cooperation between Ukraine and countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America to address global challenges of the modern era.
