“Crimea is not only a unique and integral part of Ukraine, but it is also the cradle of Ukraine’s indigenous peoples – the Crimean Tatars, Karaites, and Krymchaks,” – Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People.

During the Crimean Platform Summit, Refat Chubarov, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, addressed the issue of repression and persecution of Ukraine’s indigenous peoples, especially the largest one – the Crimean Tatars, by Russian oppressors.
“The liberation of Crimea and the restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders will signify the revival of norms and principles of international law that were brutally violated by Russian military aggression and occupation of parts of Ukraine’s territory”, he noted.
