“Dear colleagues, let our collective actions at this summit serve as a testament to our determination to realize our intentions. May this platform be a place where we work together to bring Crimea back to Ukraine. Let our joint and resolute efforts put an end to any instigations by dictators.” – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk

During his speech, Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized the crucial role of parliamentarians in shaping the foreign policy decisions of democratic nations and called on his colleagues to use the available tools to restore peace, ensure justice for the victims, and ensure accountability for the guilty.

In his address, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine discussed the need to strengthen support for Ukraine, including the provision of weapons and ammunition. He highlighted the importance of sanctions as a means to weaken Russia’s military and economic potential. He also discussed global food security, justice, and human rights protection, as well as the importance of reconstruction and preventing war in the future. Ruslan Stefanchuk called for support of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula, which includes ten points defining the key principles and mechanisms for ending the war and restoring peace.

“The Russian aggression began with the occupation of Crimea and must end with the liberation of all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea,” reiterated the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Ruslan Stefanchuk underscored that victory can be achieved not only through force on the battlefield but also through resolute political support.
