The Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, Elina Valtonen, spoke at the opening of the Fifth Crimea Platform Summit
“Today, we reiterate that Crimea is Ukraine. The territorial integrity of Ukraine must be restored. There is no place for imperialism in the 21st century. We remain unwavering in our support for Ukraine and its people,” Elina Valtonen, Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE.
Elina Valtonen, Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, underlined that the organization has contributed significantly to documenting Russia’s violations of international law, with particular attention to the deportation of Ukrainian children, the arbitrary detention of civilians, and the mistreatment of prisoners of war.
She stressed that Russia’s occupation has lasted for more than 11 years, highlighting the urgent need to restore justice and uphold international law, and to end the severe human rights violations against Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars living on the Crimean Peninsula.
