Expert Program within the Framework of The Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform in Riga

On October 23-24, 2024, as part of The Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform in Riga, the Summit’s Expert Program will take place, bringing together international experts, human rights defenders, and representatives of civil society to discuss key issues related to human rights, international justice, and national security.

On October 23, the following events are scheduled on the sidelines of the summit:

12:00 – Press conference on the suppression of freedom of speech in occupied Crimea

14:00 – Event at the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia: “The 1944 Deportation of the Crimean Tatar People: From the Recognition of Genocide to the Restoration of Crimean Tatar Rights within the Ukrainian State”

17:30 – Screening of the film “The True Story of Crimea” followed by a discussion

On October 24, after the plenary session of the Summit, at 15:00 (time subject to change), the Expert Program of the Summit will continue with two main panels:

Panel 1: “Justice for Victims of International Crimes as a Guarantee of Sustainable Peace,” featuring international and Ukrainian experts and human rights defenders.
