Francina Armengol, the President of the Congress of Deputies of Spain: “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a gross violation of international law and has serious consequences for the entire world: threat to food security, market destabilization, environmental damage and a humanitarian crisis”
The President of the Congress of Deputies of Spain Francina Armengol stressed the effectiveness of cooperation between the world states and Crimea Platform, which will help restore Ukraine’s integrity within the 1991 borders. Spain actively supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as Volodymyr Zelensky’s peace plan and the idea of Ukraine becoming a candidate for accession to the European Union.
Francina Armengol adds that European states have a shared responsibility to uphold European values and UN resolutions, engage relevant institutions, protect civilians, and assist the most vulnerable groups of the population.
