Images of Crimea in the Sixth International Crimea Platform Summit Materials

This year’s visual materials for the Sixth Summit of the International Crimea Platform brought together recognisable images of the peninsula — its nature, cultural heritage, and history.

Among the central elements were three-dimensional postcards featuring Ayuv Dağ, the Khan’s Palace in Bakhchysarai, and the Ancient City of Tauric Chersonese and its Chora. Each of these images tells a different story about Crimea — its natural diversity, centuries-old history, and rich cultural heritage.

Ayuv Dağ is one of the peninsula’s most recognisable natural landmarks. The Khan’s Palace in Bakhchysarai evokes the history and culture of the Crimean Tatar people, while Tauric Chersonese reflects the multilayered historical heritage of Crimea.

The visual concept is complemented by stickers featuring Crimean motifs and symbols of the Crimea Platform. Among them are images associated with the peninsula’s nature and culture, the message Crimea is Ukraine, as well as a symbolic “ticket to Crimea”.

A recurring message throughout the information materials dedicated to five years of the Crimea Platform and the current situation in occupied Crimea is:

“Crimea: A Test of International Solidarity and Action.”

It serves as a reminder that the issue of temporarily occupied Crimea concerns not only Ukraine, but also the international community’s commitment to consistently uphold the principles of international law and territorial integrity.

Through familiar sights of Crimea, this year’s materials draw renewed attention to the peninsula itself — its people, history, culture, and places that must be free from Russian occupation.
