Core Group Coalition Agrees on Documents to Launch Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression Against Ukraine

Members of the Core Group for the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine gathered in Strasbourg from 19 to 21 March for the 14th and final meeting.

Legal advisers of the Core Group have completed the technical work on three draft documents necessary for the creation of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine: the draft bilateral agreement between Ukraine and the Council of Europe on the establishment of the Special Tribunal, the draft statute of the Special Tribunal, and the draft enlarged partial agreement on the administration of the Special Tribunal.

These three documents will now be submitted for political consideration.

This achievement follows two years of dedicated work and substantive discussions within the Core Group on establishing the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
