Crimean political prisoner, activist Vladlen Abdulkadyrov was illegally displaced to a prison in the Arkhangelsk region of the Russian Federation
Crimean Tatar activist Vladlen Abdulkadyrov, who was falsely sentenced to 12 years in prison by the occupiers in the so-called “second Simferopol group” case, was illegally displaced from the Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation to colony №21 in the Arkhangelsk region of the Russian Federation, almost three thousand kilometers away from his home in Crimea.
The wife of the political prisoner informed that the illegal transfer took 70 hours and was accompanied by eight searches of personal belongings. Earlier, there was a report that Vladlen’s health condition was deteriorating rapidly in detention. Due to inadequate nutrition and lack of medical care, the man’s liver is suffering, his eyesight is getting worse and his kidneys have begun to fail.
Vladlen Abdulkadyrov was detained in 2019 after the mass searches of Crimean Tatars’ homes in Simferopol region, when 25 people were detained. Before his arrest, the activist was engaged in improving the life of his native village, supporting Crimean political prisoners and their families. The occupiers falsely accused the man of allegedly “participating in a terrorist organization”.
