Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler spoke at the Fifth Crimea Platform Summit.

“The rights of the Crimean Tatars are not only a matter of foreign policy for us, but also a historical and moral duty. We will continue our relentless efforts to amplify their voices, protect their rights, and ensure their freedom and dignity,” said Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defense of Türkiye

Yaşar Güler emphasized that the Crimean Tatars are an integral part of the Ukrainian people. He stressed that Türkiye has never recognized—and will never recognize—the illegal occupation of Crimea, calling it a blatant violation of international law. At the same time, he reminded that since 2014, Türkiye has systematically supported Ukraine in all spheres.

The Minister of National Defense of Türkiye noted that the Crimea Platform will continue its efforts toward the common goal, reaffirming the unwavering commitment not only to the liberation of Crimea, but also to the strengthening of an independent, prosperous, and sovereign Ukraine.
