“My country would like to see an end to this war! My country calls on Russia to stop this war!”  Mohamed Bangura, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Sierra Leone

Mr. Chairman talked about how important it is to continue to support Ukraine. He emotionally asked members of the conference to stand up for the prayer for the children and adults of Ukraine. 

The people of Sierra Leone suffer from implications of the Russian invasion, in particular, educational opportunities were taken away from students that used to have scholarships in Ukraine. They call for global peace and an end to this devastating war that affects every state in the world.

Mr. Bangura declared that actions of Russia have affected some states in West Africa through presence of the Wagner Group, which influences military governments. So it is vital to let Ukraine join The European Union to spread peace and common values in the world.  

Mohamed Bangura assured that their country will stand behind Ukraine until the day the conference is gathered, not to talk about the war against Ukraine but to rebuild Ukraine. Joined efforts on this matter will never be forgotten!
