Occupation security forces in Simferopol detain activists who came to the building of the so-called Kyiv District Court to support the Crimean Tatars detained yesterday in Bakhchisarai.
“Crimean Solidarity” reports that people were loaded onto buses. One of them, Eldar Aliyev, was thrown face down on the ground and his arms were twisted. Also, force was used against an elderly activist Enver Seitmemetov, the uncle of Abdulmejit Seytumerov, who was detained yesterday.
Yesterday, massive illegal searches and detentions of representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, including relatives of political prisoners and activists of the Crimean Solidarity movement, took place in Bakhchisarai: Ametkhan Umerov, Seydamet Mustafayev, Ruslan Asanov, Abdulmedzhit Seytumerov, Eldar Yakubov, Remzi Nimetulaev.
We appeal to the entire international community to respond to the latest manifestations of human rights violations in the temporarily occupied Crimea and call for joint efforts to stop the persecution of Ukrainian citizens by Russia for political reasons as soon as possible.
