Political prisoners were illegally transferred to a Russian prison

Crimean Tatar activists, who were unlawfully sentenced by the occupiers in the so-called “case of Crimean Muslims”, Khalil Mambetov, Refat Seidametov, Ekrem Krosh, Aider Asanov, Osman Abdurazakov, and Leman Zekeraiev, have been transferred from the occupied pre-trial detention center №1 in Simferopol to pre-trial detention center №1 in Rostov-na-Donu. This information was reported by the wives of the political prisoners yesterday, on September 12th. Additionally, some relatives of the activists claim that they learned about the transfer when their husbands were already taken out of occupied Crimea. At home, the political prisoners left behind children and elderly relatives who depended on their care.

Recalling that on January 24th, at 4 o’clock in the morning, illegal searches were conducted in the villages of the Dzhankoi district in Crimea, involving occupying security forces and FSB investigators, during which six Crimean Tatars were detained and taken to Simferopol, where they were arrested and accused in the so-called “case of Crimean Muslims.” In August of this year, the fabricated criminal case materials were transferred to the occupied “Southern District Military Court”.
