The Permanent Representative commented to the Brazilian media outlet VEJA

The Permanent Representative provided a comment to VEJA, a leading Brazilian publication, emphasizing that the issue of Crimea goes far beyond Ukraine: it is a test of the world’s ability to respond to challenges and violations of international law.

She also highlighted the symbolism of holding the meeting in the year marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations:

“This summit reminds the world that Ukraine’s struggle to restore its territorial integrity is also a struggle for the fundamental principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations”.

It should be recalled that on September 24, at the UN Headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the Fifth Summit of the Crimea Platform took place, bringing together heads of state and representatives of international organizations to discuss ways to de-occupy Crimea and restore justice.
