Permanent Representative Meets with Representatives of the Crimean Tatar Cultural and Mutual Assistance Society in Türkiye
Permanent Representative Olha Kuryshko visited the Headquarters of the Crimean Tatar Cultural and Mutual Assistance Society in Türkiye, where a working meeting with members of the organisation took place.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in temporarily occupied Crimea, in particular the systematic human rights violations and pressure on the Crimean Tatar people. Representatives of the Society emphasised their unwavering position regarding Russia’s occupation policy and expressed their intention to continue providing consistent support to Ukraine. They also stressed the importance of keeping the issue of Crimea on Türkiye’s public and international agenda.
Special attention was given to potential areas of cooperation and coordination of efforts in supporting joint initiatives and activities aimed at protecting the rights of Crimean Tatars, preserving their identity, and strengthening international advocacy for the de-occupation of Crimea.
