The Permanent Representative met with the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya.

During the meeting the parties discussed the activities of the International Crimea Platform, keeping the issue of the de-occupation of Crimea and human rights on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea on the platform of key international organizations, as well as the use of their tools to respond to the crimes of the Russian Federation and the consequences of aggression against Ukraine. The participants of the meeting also shared their views on expanding the program of advocacy mentoring by prominent foreign public figures for illegally imprisoned civic journalists and activists.

In the context of the approaching date of commemoration of the victims of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, it was agreed to intensify joint efforts to recognize the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as an act of genocide. Separately, the issue of organizing and holding the Fifth Summit of the International Crimea Platform in Kyiv was raised.
