The Prime Minister of Belize spoke at the Fifth Summit of the Crimea Platform

“Crimea must be allowed to be where it rightfully belongs — with Ukraine, and the international community must uphold the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the peaceful settlement of disputes,”  John Antonio Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize

John Antonio Briceño noted that, in an international climate where multilateralism has weakened, it is important for small states to support one another to ensure that foundational principles and values are upheld.

Belize values every state with which it has established bilateral relations and supports the New York Declaration. Belize and Ukraine’s bilateral relationship should advance new avenues, intertwining diplomatic support with trade and people-to-people cultural ties.
