The Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta delivered a speech at the Fifth Crimea Platform Summit

“The restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine will be a crucial step for the restoration of comprehensive justice and lasting peace in Ukraine,” Robert Abela, The Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta.

The Prime Minister emphasized Malta’s comprehensive support for Ukrainian citizens living under Russian occupation. He underlined that the Russian occupation regime is illegally imposing Russian citizenship on the residents of Crimea, attempting to erase Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar identity by altering the demographic structure of the peninsula, banning the language and culture of Ukrainians and the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, and militarizing the Crimean Peninsula. 

Robert Abela assured that Malta, together with the European Union, will continue to support the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
