President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović addressed participants of the Sixth Summit of the International Crimea Platform

“For more than a decade, since 2014, we have witnessed the illegal occupation of internationally recognized Ukrainian territory. These actions violate international law and undermine the rules-based international order.”

President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović said that the Ukrainian people are courageously defending their homeland, freedom and right to determine their own future.

He stressed that Ukraine’s struggle goes far beyond Europe, representing a defense of the fundamental principles of the UN Charter.

Jakov Milatović also highlighted Montenegro’s efforts to advocate for Ukraine in international organizations and its involvement in accountability and justice mechanisms, including support for the return of Ukrainian children.

“Montenegro will continue to stand with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in the struggle for sovereignty, freedom, dignity and a just and lasting peace for as long as it is needed,” Milatović said.
