President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy Congratulated Muslims on the Occasion of Eid al-Adha:

“I congratulate Muslims in Ukraine and around the world on the feast of Kurban Bayram, Eid al-Adha. May this holiday bring lasting peace, blessings, and harmony to every family.

For its part, Ukraine is doing a great deal to ensure that as many families as possible can celebrate this year’s Kurban Bayram in true safety. We are protecting lives here in Ukraine, across Europe, and we also support the protection of lives in our partner countries across the Middle East, the Gulf region, and the South Caucasus. Danger must not prevail in any part of the world.

We also remember our Ukrainian Crimea, where Russia’s war against Ukraine began in 2014. We are grateful to all those who do everything in their power to support Ukraine and our people — those who condemn the Russian occupation and help us bring our people home from Russian captivity. We remember the Crimean political prisoners held by Russia and strive to return them home, to Ukraine. It is vital that the entire free world, too, never forgets those who are deprived of their freedom today. May this holiday uplift every good heart!
