The President of the Slovak Republic spoke at the Fifth Summit of the Crimea Platform

“The UN Charter was not made ‘à la carte’ to adhere only to principles that we like and ignore those that those that tighten our arms. A world without rules, where violence and force dictate the fate of others, is unacceptable,” emphasized Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Republic.

He stated that the Slovak Republic does not accept violations of international law or violent border changes. He added that its own history makes it particularly aware of this serious issue.

Peter Pellegrini emphasised that the Crimea Platform is not only an international forum but also a symbol of solidarity. It sends a dual message: to the people of Ukraine — that they are not forgotten, and to the world — that even in the face of aggression, international law and the UN Charter matter.
