President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the holding of the Crimea Platform

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that this year the Fifth Summit of the International Crimea Platform will take place. He made this statement during a joint press conference with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, emphasizing the importance of active international engagement ahead of the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

“We are preparing for the General Assembly, where many different platforms and meetings are scheduled. In particular, the Fifth Summit of the Crimea Platform will be held, which we are organizing this year at the level of many leaders,” noted President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President also drew attention to the attempts of the Russian Federation to obstruct this event, calling them part of Moscow’s systemic policy aimed at undermining international attention to the issue of Crimea’s de-occupation.

Earlier in August, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariana Betsa, speaking at the Fourth International Forum of the Crimea Platform Expert Network, emphasized that Ukraine is preparing for the 5th summit of this initiative.
