President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky delivered remarks at the opening of the fourth Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky delivered remarks at the opening of the fourth Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform.

“I’m glad that the Ukrainian Crimean Platform, and its parliamentary track, continues to work and keeps attention on a simple truth – every nation and every state must be respected, and the core principles that kept Europe peaceful longer, than at any other time in its history must be protected. We will continue explaining how dangerous it is to pretend that aggression is something one can simply overlook and move-on. And I ask you – do not stay silent, do not be passive observers of history – be participants.”

In his speech, the President of Ukraine emphasized that attempts to impose the “normalization” of wars of conquest on the world are dangerous for everyone, not only for Ukraine. He drew attention to the threats facing the continent when international rules are ignored and borders are attempted to be changed by force.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also highlighted the importance of continuing work on the “all-for-all” formula for the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war, the return of civilian hostages, and the children abducted by Russia, noting that true peace is possible only when the aggressor stops avoiding responsibility and all occupied territories, including Crimea, are returned under Ukraine’s control.

In conclusion, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked international partners for their support of Ukraine and called on the parliaments of the world not to remain silent: when occupation continues and people are still being killed, silence only strengthens the criminal.
