Prime Minister of Andorra Xavier Espot Zamora emphasized commitment to international law and multilateralism at the Sixth Summit of the International Crimea Platform

“We remain convinced that the respect for international law and multilateralism offers the only path towards a sustainable and peaceful future. It is our shared responsibility to end the suffering of the civil population and to work together for a sustainable peace, security, development, and well-being in Europe”, – Xavier Espot Zamora, Prime Minister of Andorra.

At the International Crimea Platform summit, Prime Minister of Andorra Xavier Espot Zamora reaffirmed Andorra’s unwavering support for Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia’s ongoing war of aggression, which is a blatant breach of international law.

He emphasized that Andorra has joined the Crimea Platform as a demonstration of its commitment to international law and the rules-based international order, supporting its efforts to promote stability, uphold the rule of law, and protect human rights. Since the beginning of the conflict, Andorra has aligned itself with EU sanctions, welcomed over 400 Ukrainian refugees, and contributed to international assistance efforts, including the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine.
