Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša stressed the need to reject the normalization of occupation and maintain support for Ukraine

“Sovereignty, territorial integrity, the prohibition of acquiring territory by force. These principles cannot depend on geography, size or power. They must apply equally to every nation. This is why the United Nations was established. This is why Crimea matters far beyond Ukraine”.

Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša said that the title of the summit — “A Test of Unity, a Call to Action” — precisely captures the choice facing the international community.

Janez Janša stressed that for Slovenia, this means continued support for Ukraine’s ability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, including political, military, humanitarian and financial assistance.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining pressure on Russia, pursuing accountability for violations of international law and rejecting any attempts to normalize occupation or territorial conquest.

“Slovenia stands with Ukraine. Crimea is Ukraine,” Janša said.
