One Year Ago, the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Signed the Agreement on a One Hundred Year Partnership

On 16 January 2025, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, signed the Agreement on a One Hundred Year Partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The document covers a broad range of areas — security, defence, maritime affairs, economy, energy, justice, countering disinformation, science and technology, social policy, culture, and sport — and provides for cooperation aimed at ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty, resilience, and prosperity.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Government and people of the United Kingdom for their comprehensive support for Ukraine, including the provision of military, financial, and humanitarian assistance, and the imposition of sanctions against the Russian Federation and individuals involved in the temporary occupation of Crimea. We also note the United Kingdom’s consistent and principled position in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and its unwavering recognition that Crimea is part of Ukraine.

We recall that the Fifth Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform is scheduled to take place this year in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
