“Russia bears the responsibility for a gross violation of international law, the principles of the UN Charter, and undermining European and global security.” – Mariya Gabriel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Republic of Bulgaria
The Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria highlighted in her speech the support of the Bulgarian Government towards Ukraine and recalled non-recognition of the occupation of Crimea by Russia. She also said that Russia must be accountable for its illegal and violating actions, especially violating the grain deal and threatening the safety of the Black Sea region.
Mariya Gabriel hopes and believes that in the nearest future Russia will take all the responsibility for its actions and the fairness will be reached: Ukraine will become a NATO-member and return all of its occupied territories. The West must be more careful about this situation, because it is also threatening not only Ukraine, but the whole world as well.
“The Republic of Bulgaria remains determined to uphold this non-recognition policy.” – Gabriel
