“Russia has remained isolated and the international solidarity and support has prevented the aggression plan of Russia from becoming an easy reality’s” – Minister of State for Relations with Parliament of Albania Elisa Spiropali
At the beginning of her speech, Elisa Spiropali, State Minister for Relations with the Albanian Parliament, noted the critical human rights situation in occupied Crimea, including, politically motivated persecutions, discriminations, abductions, and intimidation.
Furthermore, Elisa Spiropali claimed that Russia’s brutal aggression against Ukraine remains the foremost threat to peace and security across Europe and beyond. He denounced Russia for using food as a weapon and leveraging famine for political gains.
Albania actively participates in international initiatives aimed at ensuring accountability for the situation in Ukraine. “Within the Security Council, Albania as a co-panel holder alongside the United States on the matter of Ukraine has been resolutely engaged, consistently condemning Russian aggression, insisting on the withdrawal of its forces and demanding the cessation of Moscow’s hostile actions”, emphasized Elisa Spiropali.
