President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Zhelyazkov during his speech at the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform remarked the Bulgarian Parliament has authorized the provision of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, over a hundred military vehicles, and additional ammunition to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. To support Ukraine’s immediate and long-term energy needs the Republic of Bulgaria is negotiating the sale of two nuclear reactors.
The speaker emphasized Bulgaria will not recognize the illegal occupation of Crimea and the so-called «elections» held by the Russian Federation in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The Bulgarian policy of non-recognition continues to oppose violations of international law and the UN Charter.
Rosen Zhelyazkov noted: «We are ready to share our experience in terms of the EU integration process».In the post-war reconstruction, Bulgaria will be focused on the renovation of the transport infrastructure.
