Compliance with the principle of territorial integrity and sovereignty of states, as one of the basic international law principles, is for us a matter of principle indeed, which means there are no exceptions. We defend the integrity of every UN member state in the same manner in which we defend our own. What we request for our country, we do respect and advocate for other countries, with no exceptions. Serbia has shown this strong position in the frameworks of international organizations,» – Speaker of National Assembly of Republic of Serbia Dr. Vladimir Orlić

Vladimir Orlić also noted that Serbia will follow further development of the situation in Ukraine with due attention, and will continue providing every kind of humanitarian assistance to the affected population in Ukraine.

«Moreover, Serbia and Ukraine share a common goal of EU accession and I would like to underline that we fully support the European path of Ukraine and we are ready to share our experience. We wish for peace in Ukraine and globally, because peace is the major prerequisite for every development and every progress. Serbia knows it,» – added the Speaker of National Assembly of Republic of Serbia.
