“Setting up an international tribunal for those who have individual criminal responsibility for the aggression against Ukraine will not be easy, but it’s essential”, – Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein.
Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein Alois began his speech by assuring the continuity of their political and financial support for Ukraine.
The Hereditary Prince reiterated that the Kingdom is committed to act in the interests of international peace and security and the defence of international order and has a priority to stop the aggression against Ukraine and ensure full accountability of those involved.
Alois also noted that Liechtenstein, as a member of the Crimea Platform, does not recognise Russia’s occupation of Crimea and fully supports the joint statement that will be released today. The Kingdom fully shares the objectives of the Crimea Platform and is ready to work with those who share them. In addition, Alois expressed his desire to ensure that Russia will be held accountable for the enormous economic and environmental damage caused to Ukraine and assured that Liechtenstein will do everything possible to provide its support in rebuilding Ukraine.
In conclusion, the Prince underlined the strong sense of unity demonstrated by today’s Summit. Liechtenstein is convinced that the Crimea Platform is a strong instrument, but can be further strengthened by the membership of countries from all regions of the world.
