Speaker of the Riksdag of Sweden Andreas Norlén delivered a speech at the opening of the fourth Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform

“History teaches us that democracy and freedom are ultimately stronger than their enemies, stronger by virtue of moral superiority, and today also clearly stronger in material terms. We must be prepared not only to support Ukraine’s fight for freedom, but also to defend all of Europe against Russian aggression that threatens the territorial integrity of our nations,” Andreas Norlén, Speaker of the Riksdag.

In his address, Andreas Norlén underlined the resilience of the Ukrainian people in their struggle for freedom and their right to choose their own destiny. He emphasized the historical solidarity between Sweden and Ukraine, noting that, as in earlier centuries, free and independent nations must stand together when confronted by the imperial ambitions of great powers. Norlén expressed gratitude to the many international partners supporting Ukraine and highlighted the outstanding leadership of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whom he described as a true hero of our time.
