The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a videoconference conversation with the President of the Chamber of Deputies (Czech Republic), Markéta Pekarová Adamová, and said thank her for the decision to hold this important event together – the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform.

This year it will be held in Prague at the end of October.

The summit will be another proof of the important role parliaments can play in consolidating the efforts of international partners to support Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said that so far we have confirmed the participation of almost 50 parliaments and parliamentary assemblies in the event.

“This is important. After all, the Summit will make it possible to increase the effectiveness of the international response to the occupation of Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. It will also help to strengthen security in the Black Sea region and increase international pressure on Russia,” emphasized Ruslan Stefanchuk.
