“The Crimea occupation is a violation of international law. Ukraine will not be a free country until its entire territory within the borders of 1991 is liberated. It is a matter of freedom, morals, and human rights.”

Petr Fiala, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, in his opening speech addressing the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform, emphasized that supporting Ukraine remains a priority for the Czech Republic.

“Our country has been supporting Ukrainian efforts to fight Russian aggression since 2014. Today, the Czech Republic is one of the main supporters of Ukraine.”

Mr. Fiala also reminded of President Zelenskyi’s Peace Formula’s importance and noted the Czech Republic’s exceptional support for realizing this plan. “We will continue to promote and spread arguments in favor of this plan, as well as relevant information in favor of Ukraine,” stated the head of the Czech government.

The speaker emphasized the thorny human rights issue on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. Mr. Fiala also addressed the Crimean Tatars and assured them that justice would eventually be restored.
