“The issue of Crimea demands a united response from the international community”, Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization

Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, believes that the brutal undermining of the international security system by Russia is a challenge not seen since the Second World War. He underlined that from the start of Russian full-scale invasion the organization has stood by Ukraine.

“Our members have decided to suspend Russia’s membership. It was a collective statement of condemnation against aggression”, noted Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization.

The politician added that tourism gives power to mend infrastructure and drive recovery. In this respect, he is strongly convinced that cooperation with the World Tourism Organization would be especially beneficial for Ukraine.
